It's Done!
After much long and hard work of typing, "Through the Garden Gate" is finally done! It weighs in at 29,330 words (101 pages.) I realize that it's not really "done" but it's finally all written out and now I can get down to revising. So, yay. ^_^

Congratulations!!! That's fantastic - will we hear some of this story next week (I assume we're meeting - right???)

I've brought the first two chapters to previous meetings. So, I guess. I'm not sure if I should re-bring-in those chapters or if I should just start up again with 3 since I've missed a few meetings.

Congratulations! You must feel awesome!

Since I wasn't at the meeting, what did you end up reading? I'm so sorry I missed it, because it's really interesting!

I would love that! But how? I don't think you have my email, and I don't want to post it online.

I loved your story! I can't wait to hear more! I told my friend Vanessa about it and we both agreed that as kids we wished that this sort of thing happened to us! I was quite positive that the natural alleyway behind the trash cans in my backyard was a portal of some kind and that our neighbor, old Mr. Hopkins was it's ever present guard. Hmmm.. come to think about it, I think it would be pretty cool now. Have you ever read Neverwhere or Stardust by Neil Gaiman?
Anyway, sorry about the rambling.

Thank you! Actually, that's how this kind of started. When I was a kid, I really wanted there to be a gateway to someplace magical in my grandparents backyard. And there was a gate, but it just led to a path in between my grandparents property and the neighbors. I haven't read those, but I certainly will. I love his Endless books. ^_^ (And "Good Omens" was also a really good book)
Feel free to ramble. I do it quite often.

Good Omens was an awesome book! I have not read the Endless books though. Neverwhere and Stardust kind of have that passage to another world theme in them. Neverwhere, which I sucked myself into reading again, takes place in the London Underground. Anyway, read away!
